How to use
The Japanese Literature Data and Audio Visual Materials Database is a tool designed to provide search capability for the catalog of Images, Videos, Audio Books, CDs, Translations, and other such material stored at the Center for Japanese Language and Culture, Osaka University.
How to Search

First, enter the title (full or partial) or, the name of the person you wish to search for, in the items field. Then, click the "Search" button.
There are two ways to search the database.

Afterwards, information on the matching material will be displayed. The following information will be displayed.

Next, click on the item you wish to examine.
Only 20 items will be displayed per page. In the event that more than 20 matches are listed, please click the “next” button to advance to the following page.

How to Use the "Keyword" Function
There are two ways to search the database.
1. In the event that the name of the work itself or the director/author of the material is known, a search can be performed by using the following categories.
【資料タイトル / Title of Material 】（漢字／ひらがな）
【監督 / Director 】（漢字／ひらがな／アルファベット）
【原作作品名 / Original Work 】 （漢字／ひらがな）
【作者 / Author 】（漢字／ひらがな／アルファベット）
【字幕 / Subtitles】（メニューから選ぶ）
You can focus the search by entering search criteria into more than one field at a time.
2. To search using partial information such as singular specific word(s), use the keyword field (「キーワード/Keyword」). This function is useful for searching for material when only partial information about the title or author is available at the time of the search. By using the "Keyword" function, the following categories will be searched for matches to the keyword entered.

【注記／Notes】
The "Notes" field is used for the placement of various details related to the material in question. Etc.
The ability to yield matches is increased when the "Keyword" function is used in a search.

The following message is displayed when no matches are found.
Number of Matching Items: 0
No matches.
Please return to the previous screen, change the search parameters, and try your search again.

Search Language and Characters
This database can be searched through the use of either Japanese or English. Please use Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, when entering search criteria into the information fields. Also, when searching for English translations of Japanese works etc., please use the Roman alphabet when entering search criteria into the information fields.
When searching for Japanese names in alphabetized form, please use Roman characters in the following way.
