Seminar course in translation for Practical Japanese Course students [7月 17,2014 ]

Seminar course in translation was held for the Practical Japanese Course students on May 27, June 3 and 10 (three classes in all). In the first class the instructor Ms. Miho Kojima gave us lectures about basic things in translation, such as the kinds of translator’s job, the career pass for being a translator, the real state of translator’s job. In the next class students did practice of consecutive interpreting, using a speech in Japanese as a training material. The third and last class was for practice of simultaneous interpretation, where all the students experienced real simultaneous interpretation sitting in the interpretation booth equipped for the university’s interpretation training room.
