Lecture prior to going on a field trip (November 10) [3月 24,2016 ]
A lecture prior to going on a field trip was held for the Maple students on November 10 at the CJLC Hall. This year’s field trip involved “pottery making.” In order to help make the trip even more enjoyable, Professor Shigeki Iwai gave an informative lecture on Japanese pottery.
In addition to explaining about the history of pottery making as well as “Tamba-yaki” (Tamba pottery), he also taught the Maple students about the various kinds of pottery by showing the actual objects. This proved to be a very intriguing lecture.
