Lecture prior to going on a field trip (Oct. 23) [10月 22,2018 ]
A lecture prior to going on a field trip was held for the Maple students on Oct 16 at the CJLC Hall. This year’s field trip involves “making authentic Japanese sweets” at Higashiyama, Kyoto Prefecture. In order to make the trip more enjoyable, TF (Teaching Fellow) gave an informative lecture on Japanese sweets. They spoke on several topics concerning Japanese sweets: history, material, and the origin of the name of the sweets, etc. Also, Professor Shigeki Iwai talked to the students about the famous architecture that they may find strolling through the Higashiyama area. Today’s lecture motivated the Maple students to participate the field trip.
