SITE: Ishiyama Temple; Dotaku Museum (Shiga prefecture)

PARTICIPANTS: 20 U program students (humanities/social sciences major)

On 1 July, twenty of U program students with five instructors visited Ishiyama Temple and Dotaku (bronze bell) Museum in Shiga prefecture. Wondering if it may rain in this rainy season, though, we did not have even a single drop of rain throughout the day. Since the students had got some information beforehand concerning the Temple and Dotaku, they could have a pretty good time, watching the old Buddhist temple where Murasaki Shikibu wrote that famous novel of Genji Monogatari and exhibitions at the museum.
